Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, just two blocks south of Canada’s most vibrant intersection at Yonge and Bloor, the Canadian Centre for Verbatim Studies (CCVS) is the nation’s first instructor led Private Career College dedicated to the training of court reporting and broadcast captioning professionals, both of which are desperately needed in Canada.
Given the importance of this service to both the legal and hearing impaired communities, the employment opportunities available in this phenomenally vital industry continue to outpace virtually all others. The US Department of Labour reports that opportunities in captioning and realtime reporting are expected to grow by 9 to 25% by 2016. Demand in Canada is even higher!
We are registered by the Ontario Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU), and the Ontario as well as the National Associations of Career Colleges (OACC and NACC).
